Dr. Oralisa Martin - President
Dr. Oralisa Martin, a native of New Orleans, LA., is one of the leading African American women revivalists, keynote speakers, and Christian Education consultants. At present, she serves as president of ORACLE Religious Association, a Christian, charitable, non-profit organization. She served under the auspices of Cardinal Roger Mahony (1986-1990) where she founded the African American Catholic Catechetical Conference. In 1992 she founded ORACLE Religious Association and then the Association’s noted program: the ORACLE National Summer Institute for Youth.
Dr. Martin is also a prophetic orator and ardent teacher who possesses the charisma to instruct, inform, and inspire. She is nationally noted for her collaborative work of designing and executing programs, educational institutes, and training to both adults and youth.
Dr. Oralisa Martin received her Masters in Religious Education (M.R.E.) degree from Loyola University, New Orleans, LA; a Masters in Theology (MTh.) degree from Xavier University, New Orleans; and a Doctorate of Ministry (DMin.) degree (Summa Cum Laude) from Howard University School of Divinity. She received the “Outstanding Scholarship and Dissertation Award” from Howard that same year. Sr. Oralisa authored, ORACLE: A Text for African American Youth Ministry and WWW: Well Women Witness - Letters from Christ.

Mrs. Debra M. Carter, MD, MPH Vice President
Dr. Carter - pediatrician, wife and mother of four. After serving over 30 years as a pediatrician in ambulatory care, she currently works in the pharmaceutical industry as a Global Safety Physician for Astra Zeneca. She holds an MD from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA and an MPH degree from John Hopkins University, School of Hygiene and Public Health, Baltimore MD. Dr. Carter is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics-Diplomat and licensed in Maryland, and New York. She is professionally affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatrics - Fellow and Member of Section on Community and International Child Health.
Mrs. Luciana St. Julien – Director
Ms. Luciana St. Julien is an active retiree with a compassionate heart for people trapped in poverty and deprived of the basic necessities of life. She has served within the Diocese of Lafayette, LA as director of both the Lafayette Catholic Services and Msgr. Segur Service Center of Social Services. She is noted for providing direct emergency services to the Lafayette parish area and surrounding communities.
Ms. St. Julien was also a member of the United States Campaign for Human Development; founder of the first free dental clinic; led Mother Teresa of Calcutta through the neighborhoods of poverty; and founder/owner of Luci’s Troop, an organization funded by the state of Louisiana that provided Long Term Personal Home Care Service for the disabled, sick, and elderly. Ms. St. Julien also started a Medical Transportation program that transported the disabled, elderly, and sick (round trip) from their homes to doctors’ medical facilities and hospitals.
Ms. Luciana St. Julien is held in high esteem by the Lafayette community, and was the first Black woman in Lafayette to receive the Martin Luther King, Jr. Award. She was awarded as one of the founding members of the Lafayette Commission on the Needs of Women, and a recipient of the “Key to the City” Award in the 1980’s. Ms. St. Julien received the Lumen Christi Award for her good works through the Lafayette diocese as an outstanding parishioner and supporter of people in need. She is seen as a beacon of light in the midst of a people held in the shadow of death. “Let your light shine before men; so that people might see your good works and give praise to your Heavenly Father (Matt. 5:16).”

Ednarita Canton – Secretary
Ednarita Canton is currently a principal of Nazareth Prep (High School). She graduated from Xavier University in New Orleans, LA with a Masters degree in Theology (MTh). She received a BS in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon and worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation. She served as Campus Minister and Math teacher at North Catholic High School and taught Math, Science and Religion at St. Benedict the Moor. She Served as principal of Holy Rosary Catholic Elementary School and Sister Thea Bowman Catholic Academy, and served as Head of School of Vincentian Academy High School. Ms. Canton is currently teaching in the summer Catechetical Program of the Institute for Black Catholics, Xavier University. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to ORACLE’S Board, especially in the fields of education, administration, and Catholic ministry.
Ms. Sheronne R. Wilson, PMP - Director
Ms. Wilson is an intuitive project manager with ten years’ experience in the non-profit and public broadcasting industry. She has focused on working with mission-driven organizations that support, inspire, and empower people to learn and achieve to their full potential. She specializes in building trusted relationships with customers and thrives in a collaborative team-oriented environment. She brings enthusiasm, and delivers exceptional service to internal/external stakeholders.
Sheronne is currently working at the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) where she manages committee efforts in the development of the licensure exam for architects. During her time at the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), she worked in quality control and managed the delivery of multiple high-profile series in arts, drama, and performance programming.
She holds a B.A. in English and a project management certification (PMP). Sheronne is passionate about connecting with others and working on collaborative teams that create programs and services.
